Good news if you have played a Battlefield game in the past, as of right now you can sign up to Battlefield Play4Free and start playing the closed beta.

If you have played either Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 1943 you will automatically have the right to play Battlefield Play4Free from today giving you a four day head start over everyone else.

Battlefield Play4Free uses the same classic Battlefield gameplay that you are used to in a play for free environment. You will be able to earn currency as you play allowing you to buy a huge variety of weapons, equipment and combat skills to create your unique soldier.

So by now you're probably thinking this is all well and good but how do I get it? Simply follow the instructions below and you can be playing in minutes.

1. Head to Battlefield Play4Free

2. Register with your EA Account that you used to play any of the games mentioned above.

3. Play and Enjoy!

Or don't. Personally I thought it was really poo! I didn't give it much of a chance but I was very underwhelmed by this freeware shooter even by freeware shooter standards.
